Botox (Face)
Botox
Botox is one of the most often performed anti-aging procedures in Korea. It is a relatively easy procedure. Botox is used in several different regions on the face.
A fine needle is used to relax the muscles in areas that have fine lines or wrinkles. The main areas would be: 1) the forehead – 2) the frown area in between your eyebrows – 3) the crow’s feet around your eyes – 4) chin wrinkles.
A small amount of the naturally occurring botulinum toxin is used to numb the muscle. This will make the wrinkle much less visible or sometimes even makes it temporarily disappear. Botox is one of the most effective treatments against wrinkles, together with filler.
The effect will show up 1 or 2 weeks after the procedure. About one month after the procedure is when the effect is at its highest. It usually lasts 3-6 months, however, we recommend to repeat botox every 3-4 months to maintain the effect. The effect of botox might last a little bit longer when it is combined with other procedures (such as laser procedures).
You can choose between Botox produced in Korea or Botox produced in Europe/the USA.
Botox is a good choice for people with:
- Fine lines or wrinkles on the forehead / around the eyes / between the eyebrows or in other places
- People who want an easy and relatively pain-free, short procedure.
There is barely any downtime after Botox. Try to avoid alcohol, smoking and intensive exercise for a couple of days after the procedure.
